Former Miss World Sri Lanka Dusheni Silva Weds Actor Chathuranga Kodithuwakku

Former Miss World Sri Lanka and popular actress Dusheni Silva has married fellow actor Chathuranga Kodithuwakku, with the couple entering a new chapter of their lives today, October 5.

The news has delighted fans, as the two popular figures in Sri Lanka’s entertainment industry had kept their relationship away from the public eye until now.

Dusheni revealed that she chose to keep their relationship private because the publicity surrounding her previous relationships had affected her emotionally after those relationships ended.

Speaking about Chathuranga, she said she did not understand him at first, but gradually came to appreciate his calm and peaceful nature.

“I want to spend my life with someone like that. My biggest relationship in life was with my father. I receive similar love and protection from Chathuranga as I did from him,” she said.

The couple have both enjoyed significant popularity in the local entertainment industry. Last year, Dusheni was recognised as a Most Popular Actress, while Chathuranga received Most Popular Actor honours at several award ceremonies.
