Enuki Battagoda Sets Sights on Australian All Schools Records After Championship Gold Medals

Australian junior track and field athlete Enuki Battagoda, aged 13, is continuing to make her mark in athletics after an outstanding 2026 season, winning gold medals at both the Australian Little Athletics Championships and the Australian Athletics Championships.

Competing for EGAC (Yevgeniy’s Group), Battagoda specialises in the triple jump, long jump and 100-metre sprint. Her impressive performances have included breaking championship records in the triple jump at both national competitions, highlighting her growing potential in Australian junior athletics.

Her latest achievements build on her experience at the Australian Athletics Championships in Perth last year. With new personal bests and two major championship victories behind her, Battagoda is now preparing for another return to Perth in two months for the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships.

The upcoming competition could provide another significant opportunity for the young athlete to test herself against some of the country's leading junior competitors.

The current Under-14 records at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships include a long jump mark of 5.63 metres, set in 2007 with a wind reading of +4.8 metres per second, and a triple jump record of 12.59 metres, set in 2019 with a wind reading of +3.1 metres per second.

With her recent championship success and improving personal bests, Battagoda will be looking to build on her momentum as she prepares for the national school athletics competition.

At just 13, her performances in 2026 have established an impressive foundation for the next stage of her athletic journey, with Perth offering another opportunity to showcase her talent on the national stage.
