Edelweiss Air to Increase Colombo Services to Three Weekly Flights for Winter 2026/27

Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss Air is set to increase its seasonal Zurich–Colombo service to three weekly flights for the Winter 2026/27 schedule, up from two weekly flights during the previous winter season.

The new seasonal schedule will begin on 26 October 2026, with flights continuing through May 2027.

Flights from Zurich to Colombo will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as LX 8064, while return services from Colombo to Zurich, LX 8065, will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The increased frequency is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Switzerland and Sri Lanka while giving travellers greater flexibility during the winter travel season.

More than 30,000 Swiss travellers visited Sri Lanka in 2025, highlighting the importance of the Swiss market to the country’s tourism industry. Zurich also provides onward connections to destinations across Europe and beyond through the wider Lufthansa Group network.

United Ventures serves as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Edelweiss Air, part of the Lufthansa Group, in Sri Lanka.
