Dudley Sirisena vows to provide Rumesh Tharanga with new javelin set every year

Businessman Dudley Sirisena has stepped forward to provide Sri Lankan javelin throw champion Rumesh Tharanga with a top-tier javelin set every year. 

Rumesh Tharanga has brought significant recognition to Sri Lanka through his performances in the javelin throw at several major international competitions. 

Sirisena has agreed to provide the sponsorship following discussions with Rumesh’s coach, Tony Prasanna. 

He has also pledged to continue supporting Rumesh until he achieves the goal of winning an Olympic gold medal in the javelin throw for Sri Lanka. 

Accordingly, in addition to the javelin equipment provided by the government through the intervention of the Minister of Sports, Sunil Kumara, Dudley Sirisena has also decided to provide Rumesh with the highest-quality javelin sets every year.
