Dinupa Jayasooriya joins Nailympia London judging panel

Sri Lankan nail educator Dinupa Jayasooriya served on the international judging panel at Nailympia London 2026, held at ExCeL London on 4 and 5 October.

The competition’s 22nd edition brought together 185 competitors from 40 countries, with 555 competition entries across 22 online and arena categories.

Jayasooriya, Founder and Master Educator of The Nail Art Academy, joined nail professionals and educators from around the world to assess competitors’ work.

With more than 15 years of experience as a nail fashion artist and educator, she has focused on developing professional nail education and expanding opportunities for aspiring nail professionals in Sri Lanka and overseas.

The Nail Art Academy’s Professional Nail Technician Master Course has achieved City & Guilds Assured status. The academy is also a recognized continuing professional development (CPD) provider in the United Kingdom, with selected programs carrying CPD accreditation.

According to the academy, these developments provide students in Sri Lanka with access to structured professional training, while Jayasooriya’s international judging experience brings exposure to global competition standards, contemporary techniques and industry expectations.

“Our students in Sri Lanka must believe that their talent can take them anywhere in the world. Our responsibility is not only to teach technical skills, but also to give them the confidence to think internationally, dream bigger and compete at a global level,” Jayasooriya said.

Through the academy, she continues to draw on her international experience to support local training and help students explore career opportunities in the global nail industry.
