Collapse of section of building forces closure of Colombo District Courts

Colombo District Courts didn’t function yesterday (31) as a section of a building, within its premises, collapsed on Saturday (29).

Sources said vehicles would not be allowed in the Colombo District Courts premises All cases scheduled for Monday would be called on 30 September 2026.

Sources said that judges will inform the public how the courts will function in due course. Extension of Enjoining Orders will be entertained upon request made to the court Registrar.
