Civil Society Group Calls for Central Bank Action Over Alleged Irregular Investment Transactions

The Civil Intelligence Front has called on the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to investigate and take appropriate action against institutions that collect public investments and allegedly engage in irregular financial transactions.

Speaking at a media briefing, representatives of the organisation highlighted concerns over alleged irregularities involving several institutions that had reportedly operated without Central Bank regulation.

They stressed the need for the relevant authorities to examine the operations of such institutions and take appropriate action to protect the public’s money.

Niruksha Kumara and Priyantha Thilakaratne of the Civil Intelligence Front addressed the media briefing, sharing their concerns about the alleged financial irregularities and the need for stronger oversight.
