Civil Intelligence Front Condemns CBSL Statement on Six Institutions

The Civil Intelligence Front expressed its views at a media briefing regarding a statement issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

The Central Bank is acting by allegedly misusing the limited powers granted to it.

We have received the statement issued by the Central Bank referring to six institutions. The names of six institutions have been listed, and some of them have been marked with star symbols.

According to the statement, the Central Bank has temporarily suspended certain activities involving these institutions.

Kasagala Green Plantations has also been marked with a star symbol.

The Central Bank has released this information to the media.

Why have these institutions been marked with prominent star symbols?

These are institutions that have collected money from members of the public.

We strongly condemn and reject the media statement issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

We will come to the Central Bank together with the depositors and stage a protest there.
