Chaminda Vaas Set to Join Delhi Capitals as Fast Bowling Coach

Sri Lankan pace legend Chaminda Vaas is set to join Delhi Capitals as the franchise’s fast bowling coach, adding his vast international experience to the Indian Premier League setup.

Vaas, one of Sri Lanka’s most accomplished fast bowlers, is expected to play a key role in developing the franchise’s pace attack and working with its fast bowlers.

The former Sri Lankan international enjoyed an illustrious playing career, representing the national team across formats and becoming one of the country’s leading wicket-takers. Known for his accuracy, movement and ability to swing the ball, Vaas has since built a coaching career focused on developing fast-bowling talent.

His addition to the Delhi Capitals coaching staff will bring valuable international experience to the franchise as it prepares for the upcoming IPL season.

Vaas previously served in coaching roles with Sri Lanka and other international teams, making his move to Delhi Capitals another significant chapter in his transition from an elite international bowler to an experienced coach.
