Arrest Warrant Issued Against Cricketer Chamika Karunaratne

Colombo Additional Magistrate Kasun Kanchana Dasanayake today (28) ordered the arrest and production of cricketer Chamika Karunaratne before court after he failed to appear in connection with a child maintenance case.

The arrest warrant was issued when Karunaratne failed to appear during the hearing of a complaint filed by a female pilot seeking maintenance payments for her child.

The case is scheduled to be taken up again on 4 January 2027.
