BTS World Tour Earns $433 Million, Sets New Global Record

South Korean supergroup BTS has surpassed its previous touring record, generating an estimated $433.2 million from 38 shows on its ongoing “ARIRANG” World Tour, according to Billboard.

The group had sold approximately 2.3 million tickets and generated around 598 billion won (US$433.2 million) as of August 11, with the tour still scheduled to continue through the first half of next year.

The figure more than doubles BTS’s previous touring record of $213.9 million, earned during the group’s LOVE YOURSELF world tour.

BTS delivered particularly strong results in Europe during July, bringing in $102.5 million from eight performances. That placed the group second on Billboard’s monthly Top Tours chart, behind The Weeknd, who generated $124.4 million from 16 shows.

BTS’s management company, Big Hit Music, highlighted the scale of the achievement, noting that BTS generated comparable revenue to The Weeknd despite performing half as many shows.

The group also joined an exclusive club, becoming only the third artist to surpass $100 million in monthly touring revenue in multiple months, following Beyoncé and Bad Bunny.

Several of BTS’s European concerts ranked among Billboard’s 10 highest-grossing boxscores for July. The group’s two shows at Stade de France in Paris ranked third after attracting a combined audience of approximately 185,000 fans and generating $30.6 million in ticket revenue.

Their performances at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Allianz Arena in Munich and King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels also ranked fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.

With the “ARIRANG” World Tour still underway, BTS is expected to extend its record-breaking figures even further before the tour concludes.

The group’s next performances are scheduled for September 1, 2, 5 and 6 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, as the global tour continues its run.
