Sri Lankan-origin actress Bhavithra Gananathan has made her professional acting debut portraying Sita in Diwali Story: The Journey of Ram, staged at OVO Arena Wembley in London.
The 19-year-old multidisciplinary artist stars opposite Kiran Kaanan in the musical retelling of the Ramayana, one of the most celebrated epics in South Asian culture.
The production features around 100 community performers, bringing the timeless story of Ram and Sita to life through music, performance and storytelling.
Bhavithra’s debut marks a significant milestone in her artistic journey, as she takes on a leading role in a large-scale production at one of London’s prominent entertainment venues.
