Azur Air Resumes Winter Flights to Mattala for 2026/27 Season

Russian airline Azur Air has resumed its winter season operations to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA), with daily flights connecting Sri Lanka to eight destinations across Russia.

The airline recommenced its services on 2 November 2026, marking the return of its seasonal operations for the 2026/27 winter period.

The resumption is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Sri Lanka and the Russian market, providing travellers with additional access to the island during the winter travel season.

The daily services also support Sri Lanka’s tourism sector by facilitating visitor arrivals from multiple Russian destinations through Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport.

Azur Air’s return forms part of the seasonal international flight activity at MRIA, reinforcing the airport’s role in connecting Sri Lanka with overseas markets.
