Australian Missing in Nepal Flood Disaster Found Alive

An Australian who had been missing since devastating floods struck Nepal and Tibet almost two weeks ago has been found alive, according to reports.

The person was not in the immediate disaster zone but had not been accounted for since the disaster. Their discovery brings the number of Australians found alive to eight, while 35 Australians remain missing.

More than 1,399 people have been killed in the floods, which devastated parts of Nepal and Tibet. Around 5,400 people remain missing across the two regions as of Tuesday.

The floods have triggered major rescue and recovery efforts as authorities continue searching for those still unaccounted for.
