“All Arrangements in Place for the Battle of Yellows”

Colombo, September 24, 2026 — All arrangements have been finalised for the “Battle of Yellows” one-day cricket match between St. Joseph’s College, Grandpass, Colombo, and St. John Bosco College, Kaluaggala, which is scheduled to commence on October 3 at the St. Joseph’s College grounds.

A media briefing regarding the upcoming encounter was held today at St. Joseph’s College.

The principals of the two schools, Prasad Samaratunga of St. Joseph’s College, Grandpass, and W.A.D. Ajanta Chanaka of St. John Bosco College, Kaluaggala, addressed the media at the event.

Imalsha Maduranga will captain the St. Joseph’s College team, while Senith Ryan will lead the St. John Bosco College team.

A notable feature of the encounter is that it will be the first-ever friendly cricket match between the two schools, marking the beginning of a new sporting relationship between the institutions.
