The alleged local leader of the so-called Coconut Cartel has been arrested at Sydney International Airport while attempting to flee the country, after his phone was found at the scene of a shooting that left a 12-year-old boy dead. Fakhr’s phone was recovered at the scene, which allegedly contained evidence of criminal offences including conspiracies to commit murder, kidnappings, arson offences and gun supply. Australian Federal Police pounced on the man as he attempted to leave the country. In August, Fakhr was lucky to survive being shot while sitting in a car at Greenacre. Police sources have told 7NEWS he’s instrumental in Coconut Cartel operations across Sydney. He’s been hit with 10 charges, including conspire and agree to murder and supplying a pistol. His bail application was refused.
