Aeroflot to Resume Moscow-Colombo Flights From October 3

Russian airline Aeroflot will resume its Moscow-Colombo service from October 3, initially operating two flights per week.

The airline had suspended the route in May amid a seasonal decline in arrivals to Sri Lanka.

The resumption of the direct service is expected to restore additional air connectivity between Russia and Sri Lanka ahead of the upcoming travel season, providing more options for passengers travelling between the two destinations.

Aeroflot’s return will also support connectivity for Russian tourists visiting Sri Lanka, one of the country’s key international visitor markets.
