Actor Vishwa Kodikara fined Rs. 5,000 over cocaine possession

Film and teledrama actor Vishwa Kodikara was fined Rs. 5,000 by Mount Lavinia Magistrate Kanchana Neranjala Silva after he pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine.

The Magistrate reprimanded Kodikara and warned that he would be referred for rehabilitation if he was involved in a similar offence in the future.

Wellawatta Police arrested Kodikara and four others during a raid on a restaurant in the Wellawatta beach area yesterday.

The suspects were produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today.
