36th National Youth Sports Festival Gets Underway at Diyagama

The 36th National Youth Sports Festival commenced today at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Sports Stadium in Diyagama.

Minister Bimal Rathnayake, Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage and Deputy Minister Dinidu Hennayake attended the opening ceremony.

The three-day sporting event brings together athletes who were selected through district-level competitions held among youth clubs across the country.

Selected male and female athletes from various districts are participating in the festival, which will continue over the next three days.
